Our Missions – Better Health and Economic Opportunity for Youth
New Generation Foundation was established in 2003 to support bold new initiatives that promote access to opportunity for young people. Our newest initiatives are to fight global bribery and corruption – which robs young people of opportunity – with our support for the new ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System standard, and to conduct novel cultural exchanges through our 2018 Baseball Ambassadors program.
Meanwhile, we actively support a range of health and humanitarian programs that include curing diabetes; an air medical mission in Africa; and awareness, advocacy and re-building programs for refugees displaced by war and repression.

Diabetes is epidemic in parts of the world, especially in the United States. The World Health Organization estimates that 346 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes. It is the 5th leading killer in the United States, and the primary cause of blindness, amputation and kidney failure. Diabetes-related complications account for 25% of U.S. Medicare spending. Curing diabetes will have a remarkable impact on the United States and the world.
New Generation Foundation began supporting Dr. Wang’s research following the 2008 publication of breakthrough trials, where Type I diabetes was consistently and predictably reversed through the implantation of encapsulated islet cells in diabetic canines, without use of immuno-suppression drugs. With New Generation support, Dr. Wang’s developments are now being successfully tested in preparation for human trials in collaboration with Dr. James Markmann, Chief of Transplant Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The Squash Diabetes! Campaign
Squash Diabetes! was launched by the Georgetown University Women’s Squash Team, where a team member has successfully competed in the vigorous game of squash despite the health and metabolism challenges of Type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetes. Proceeds raised from Squash Diabetes! support the human trials team led by Dr. Wang.
